AI principles and use

We build AI, and we use it on this site. This page sets out how: which features use AI, what they can and cannot do, and how your data is handled. People design, review and sign off what we ship.

Which features use AI

  • Mandodari, the CYDO concierge ("Talk to Mandodari"): typed chat, and, where enabled, a live AI avatar you can see, hear and talk to.
  • The concierge can act on this site when you ask: open pages, highlight sections, fill in the Project Scoper or open the booking calendar. It says what it is doing, and you can see every change.
  • The Project Scoper, which turns your answers into a project brief.

Always labelled

  • The concierge introduces itself as an AI assistant in its first message, on screen and when speaking.
  • It never claims to be a person, and it never claims to be any member of our team.
  • The avatar is a digital character, not a recording of a real employee. It shows the label "AI avatar, not a person. It can make mistakes."
  • Its name, Mandodari, belongs to a digital character, named after the wise queen of Lanka. It always says it is CYDO’s AI concierge, and it never uses any other name.

What it will and will not do

  • It answers from our published pages and links to the pages it used.
  • It does not quote fixed prices or deadlines. It may show indicative ranges that we set, labelled "indicative, confirmed after discovery".
  • It does not invent clients, results or partners, and does not ask for sensitive personal data.
  • Before it sends your details to us, it reads them back, and you confirm on screen. Nothing is sent without your Send.
  • You can ask for a person at any time: WhatsApp, a booked call with our founder, or email.

Your data

  • Typed questions are sent to Anthropic to generate answers.
  • Voice and video are processed by Napster and its AI model provider to run the conversation. The microphone is used only after you click Start talking and your browser asks. The camera is never used.
  • We do not record audio or video. Napster keeps a transcript during the session, and we delete it when you finish, unless you tick "Save this conversation and send it to CYDO".
  • There is no memory between visits: each conversation starts fresh.
  • To delete a saved conversation, email info@cydolabs.com.

Regulation

We follow the transparency duties in Article 50 of the EU AI Act, which apply from 2 August 2026 to AI systems that talk with people in the EU, and we apply the same standard to every visitor.
