Our story

Built on work that shipped.

We design and build AI agents, automation and the software around them. The work started long before the company: in the field, at hackathons and in production.

The journey

From first build to a company.

  1. Early yearsAgency work and a tech communityOur founder ran 28X Agency, a digital and creative agency, and started The Tech Report, a technology community with a daily news channel.
  2. From 2023phipro.lk goes into the fieldA digital enforcement platform for Sri Lanka’s Public Health Inspectors, built offline-first so it works where the signal does not.
  3. HackathonsTEAM POWERThe founder’s hackathon team: Champion at GreenEXE 3.0 and HackElite 2.0, with podium finishes across national and university competitions.
  4. 2026National recognitionphipro.lk at the 28th National ICT Awards (NBQSA) and the National AI Awards, Best Scientific Paper at ICBS, and pharmentic.com 1st Runner-Up at NeuroX 1.0, the National AI Buildathon.
  5. TodayThe company is incorporatedOne company for the work: AI agents and software, made by people and assisted by AI, from Sri Lanka for clients anywhere.

Start with the problem

Useful software solves a defined problem and fits the people, data and systems around it. We set the scope and the way we work around each project’s goals, its constraints and who will own it afterwards.

How we approach a project

From first conversation to production.

Four stages on every engagement, scaled to the size of the project.

  1. 1

    Understand

Clarify the users, goals, constraints, and current systems.

  2. 2

    Plan

Map the main components, data, and integrations before implementation.

  3. 3

    Build

Develop and review the work in small, testable increments.

  4. 4

    Prepare

Plan deployment, operations, documentation, and ownership.

Principles

What we hold ourselves to

Engineering integrity

Use evidence for claims and explain technical trade-offs, limits and risks.

Ownership

Agree on ownership, documentation, handover, and support before delivery.

Clarity over cleverness

Understand the problem before choosing a solution, then favour systems teams can understand and change.

The right tools

Choose tools with the needs of the project and its maintainers in mind.

Respect for users

Design predictable, accessible interactions and keep human review for consequential AI decisions.

Long-term thinking

Plan for maintenance, upgrades, and knowledge transfer.

Have a system that needs to work better?

Tell us what you are working on. We start by understanding the problem, the people, and the systems involved.
